South Park is an American television animation series created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone for Comedy Central. Famous for characterizing society, life today and the American culture with black humour, through surreal situations that happen to the characters, four children: Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny, residents from South Park, a fictional town in Colorado. Also characterized by the use of profanity and a lot of violence for animation, its irreverent humour about different themes of world conflict have led to numerous controversies. Other important figures include the Chef, Butters, Wendy or Randy.
